Belasco Chinatown gets it's own Police department

After a surge in crime rates in Chinatown, Belasco city officials urged Belasco Law enforcement department to open a branch in Chinatown. After a week of legal meetings and arrangements the BCPD chief announced the opening of a completely new police department in Chinatown. Douglas Shaun, chief police officer at Belasco city police department held a press meeting this afternoon stating:

"Chinatown is growing, with new residents every month and various new local businesses starting we need to ensure that it thrives safely. Street racing and burglaries are increasing every month and we need to ensure that the residents and the businesses that contribute to our economy and society feel safe and protected"

Douglas presses a button on a small remote he is holding, and the projector behind him displays a graph. See the graph here.

"Belasco city law enforcement is proud to announce the opening of Chinatown Police Department."

Doug went on to answer questions about the new department, while photos of the new department played as a slideshow of pictures behind him. Our senior investigative reporter managed to bribe an intern into giving us a flash drive of the photos for a high quality look at the new department.

As seen in the photos, the police cars will all be the new fully-electric Cherrier vivace and the 2020 Cherrier Tograc electric. The new CTPD seems to be going for a fully electric enviromentally friendly lineup of vehicles.

Most notably however, is the 2019 Hirochi ESBR seen here racing against a local track racer. It can reportedly reach up to 262 KM/H or 162 MP/H and can go from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds. We asked law enforcement mechanic Gary Michael why such a speedy vehicle is neccesary.

"Chinatown is currently the most popular spot for illegal street racing. This puts the lives of Chinatown residents at great risk due to the common crashes. The new department needs a vehicle that can navigate sharp corners at high speeds to catch these criminals."

This is certainly exciting news, and you can hear more about it by tuning in every tuesday to watch our "Belasco local crime" segments.
